Best Comfort Food presents a hot meal you can take to work or school. Our recipes are quick, easy and less than 30 minutes to cook. Cook our recipes the night before, refrigerate and reheat the next day. Or, on the other hand, you can cook our meals and freeze them for next week’s lunch. Our special today is Beef and Broccoli, low cholesterol, low fat and low calorie.
Comfort Food: Beef and Broccoli
½ cup A1 steak sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pound top round steak, finley sliced
¼ cup soy sauce
1 (16 ounce) bag frozen broccoli, red bell peppers, bamboo shoots and mushrooms thawed
Hot cooked rice (optional
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, garlic, and steak sauce pour marinade over steak in non-metal dish. Cover; refrigerate one hour, stirring intermittently.
Take steak out of marinade; save marinade. In large delicately oiled pan, over moderate heat stir fry a few minutes or until steak is not pink. Remove steak with spoon; remain warm
In same skillet, heat vegetables and saved marinade to a boil; lower heat to low cover; simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in steak. Serve over rice, if desired
