Take Care of Your Skin

Acne Rosea

Spicy Foods exacerbate the condition of acne rosacea, This is a chronic skin disease characterized by redness of the skin tissues and pustules on the face.

Don’t Suffocate Eczema

Don’t use petroleum jelly on eczema.  It forms a seal where it is applied. Additionally, it stops oxygen from coming in contact with the inflamed tissue. As a result, this slows down the healing process.

Psoriasis

Vitamin D helps in the treatment of psoriasis.  Sunlight generates vitamin D production in the skin. Likewise,  salt water baths are also effective.

Keloids

Keloids are an overgrowth of connective tissue at the site of an incision and they cause rope like scars. More importantly, they result from a lack of 13 in the blood. As a rule, this condition is more prevalent among the African American population because of over-proliferation of collagen in their skin during the healing process.

Ginger root applied directly to the affected area will help reduce the size of the keloids.  Hence, the sulfur in the ginger root stimulates a chemical activity. This remodels the scar tissue collagen into a more permanent and effective type.

Skin Conditions

For the most part, skin conditions such as seborrhea, psoriasis, eczema, a-topical dermatitis and acne rosacea are often related to a systemic yeast infection.  This condition corrects by eating a high protein, low carbohydrate diet. Exclude all sugar, dairy yeast products; bread, rolls, bagels and fermented foods; wine, beer, tofu and vinegar).

Go Natural With Your Skin

Use Vitamin A for skin conditions instead of Acutane and Retin A. These derive from Vitamin A.  Acutane can raise cholesterol.

Dry Skin Factors

Vegetarians and those with low cholesterol often have overly dry skin since their diets do not provide the essential fats needed to maintain and facilitate the production of oil in the skin.
