Turkey goes Asian in this easy stir fry dish. Serve it with a packaged herb or fried rice
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 tablespoons oriental sesame oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon honey
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound turkey tenderloin or cutlets, cut into strips
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 pound small asparagus
In a large bowl combine sesame oil, soy sauce, honey and cumin. Add turkey and turn to coat evenly. Let the turkey marinate for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, trim the bottom ends off asparagus diagonally into 2 – inch lengths.
Using a skillet, warm sesame seeds over medium heat until browned, stirring constantly. Transfer to a bowl and out aside.
Increase the heat to high. Add vegetable oil to the wok; include the turkey and stir-fry for 5 minutes. Add the asparagus and cook, stirring constantly, until the asparagus is crisp tender, 2 to 4 minutes, Season the turkey and asparagus with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
