KIDS’ BIRTHDAY RECIPE WAGON: Ice Cream Cone Cakes
Kids will love these cupcakes and you will love the fact that pudding is in the frosting.
1 package (2 layer size) yellow cake mix
24 flat bottomed ice cream cones
Fluffy pudding frosting (follow recipe below)
Sprinkles (optional)
Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Spoon about ¼ cup batter into each cone. Set cones on baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Cool on rack. Spoon fluffy putting frosting over case; garnish with sprinkles if desired.
Fluffy Pudding Frosting
1 cup cold milk
¼ cup confectioners’ sugar (optional )
1 package (4 serving size) Jell-O instant pudding and pie filling, any flavor
3 ½ cups (8 ounces) cool whip whipped topping, thawed
Empty milk into large bowl. Include pudding mix in sugar. Whip with wire whisk until well blended, one to 2 minutes. Fold in whipped topping spread on cupcakes immediately.
****Store frosted cakes in the refrigerator
