Infertility

Unripe Eggs

A cause of infertility could be polycystic ovarian disease, a condition where the ovary produces many eggs, but none of them ripen.

Acupuncture Aids Fertilization

In cases of infertility when standard procedures fail, acupuncture is often effective.

Sperm Allergy

An allergy to her partner’s sperm may be the cause of a woman’s infertility.  However, women can overcome this by building up the immune system. For example, take high doses of antioxidants, eat chemical free organic foods, drink distilled water, get proper exercise which lowers the stress level.

Main Factors Preventing Pregnancy

  • Low or inadequate male sperm
  • Anovulation- The egg is not released from the ovary into the fallopian tube.
  • Tubal factors – the egg impedes its travel through the fallopian tube due to scarring from pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).
  • Cervical Mucous may be too thick and may prevent the sperm from reaching the egg.
  • Low progesterone levels

Adrenal and Infertility

If the adrenal glands produce too much testosterone and DHEA (male hormones), a female could become infertile and develop male characteristics.  In this case, low doses of hydrocortisone help balance adrenal function.   More importantly, investigate hyperactivity of the thyroid in this condition since a hyperactive thyroid causes the adrenals to malfunction.
